A Fresh Start: Flooring at Pinebrook Elementary School

At Pinebrook Elementary School, we were called in to address significant damage to the gym's synthetic flooring. The floor had rips and tears, and in some areas, it was coming loose from the concrete. After inspection, we found that moisture beneath the floor was causing it to loosen over time.

To resolve the issue, we started by removing the damaged floor and carefully disposing of it. We then focused on fixing the underlying problem—moisture in the concrete subfloor.

Once the floor was removed, we leveled and cleaned the concrete slab. To prevent any future moisture issues, we applied an epoxy based moisture mitigation system and migration barrier to ensure the new floor would stay secure and durable.

With the concrete prepared, we installed the new synthetic flooring system, designed to handle the high demands of a school gym. The process included applying a base mat, several coats of protective layers, and finishing it with a topcoat for durability and a fresh look. We also added custom court markings, including basketball and volleyball courts, along with other markings needed for the space.

The result is a restored gym floor that looks great and will stand up to years of use. Pinebrook Elementary now has a durable, long-lasting flooring solution that’s both functional and visually appealing.
